Vermont Bar Foundation President Addresses Members

At the Vermont Bar Association Annual Meeting, Vermont Bar Foundation President Joe Cahill addressed about 300 lawyers and thanked them for choosing Vermont Bar Foundation IOLTA HONOR ROLL financial institutions.  IOLTA HONOR ROLL leadership banks and credit unions remit generous interest rates on these accounts, the proceeds of which go to the Vermont Bar Foundation, primarily to fund civil legal services for low income Vermonters.

“Please ask yourself if your IOLTA account is generating as much interest as it should,” said Vermont Bar Foundation Board member Beth Danon.  “You can choose a Vermont Bar Foundation IOLTA Honor Roll Leadership bank or credit union and you should.”  Gold and Silver level institutions remit 2% interest on their accounts and Bronze Level institutions remit 1.5% on theirs.  These are generous interest rates.

These institutions offer an annual net yield of 2.0% or higher and tie their deposit rate to a recognized market indicator.*
