2010 Grant Recipients Announced

Vermont Bar Foundation Grants Committee Chair Teri Corsones announces the 2010 Grant Recipients

Last week, the Vermont Bar Foundation held one of its quarterly meetings and voted on the recommendations of its Grants Committee.  Grants Committee members include Amber L. Barber, Esq. of Downs Rachlin Martin, PLLC; Therese M. Corsones, Esq., Rutland Superior Court; Christopher D’Elia, Executive Director of the Vermont Bankers Association; Judith Dickson, Esq. of Burlington, Jeanne Elias, Esq. of the Vermont Department of Public Service; Patricia A. Killigrew, Esq. of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Connecticut/Bridgeport; Vanessa B. Kittell, Esq. of Kissane Associates; F. Sheldon Prentice, Esq. of NBT Bank.

“Our committee worked long and hard to make its recommendations,” explained Grants Committee Chair Teri Corsones.  “Thanks to the leadership efforts of the banks, credit unions and savings and loan on our Vermont Bar Foundation IOLTA Honor Roll, we have been able to grant $1,160,727 to seventeen organizations in order to provide access to justice in Vermont.”

“As always, we urge all Vermont attorneys to thank the Vermont Bar Foundation IOLTA Honor Roll leadership institutions,” remarked Vermont Bar Foundation Board Member Douglas Molde of Molde Black & Govoni, P.C.  “Please visit vtbarfoundation.org for contact information for our Vermont Bar Foundation IOLTA Honor Roll institutions so you can drop them a letter of thanks.”

“Please check the Vermont Bar Foundation website to see a list of 2010 grantees,” said Vermont Bar Foundation Executive Director Deborah Bailey, “and contact me with any questions you may have.”
