Carol Ode to Assist Foundation
Vermont Bar Foundation President Joseph Cahill announces that, “Carol Ode will be working with us to promote the accomplishments of the Vermont Bar Foundation. We have several significant and exciting things happening because of the efforts of the Foundation and we are eager to share our progress with Vermont Bar members, banks and credit unions with IOLTA accounts, Vermont Bar Foundation grantees, and all Vermonters.”
Late in 2007, the Vermont Bar Foundation Honor Roll began. Collaboration rather than regulation was what banks, credit unions and the VBF sought in what has remained a successful effort to raise interest rates paid on IOLTA accounts. Now, in a time of economic uncertainty and hardship, these leadership institutions continue to remit generous rates on their IOLTA accounts.
The VBF asks you to take a moment to send a note or email of thanks to the VBF Honor Roll bank or credit union with which you do business. The VBF will also be sending Thanksgiving thank you cards to our Honor Roll partners. Over these next weeks we will be promoting the Vermont Bar Foundation Honor Roll, thanking its members, and explaining how IOLTA funds help VBF grantees provide critical legal services to the disadvantaged and education about our system of justice to all Vermonters.
