Welcome to New Members of the Vermont Bar

On December 10, the Supreme Court admitted about thirty lawyers to the Vermont Bar.

Before the ceremony, Vermont Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Section’s Michael Donofrio extended an invitation to join the VBA’s Young Lawyers’ Section and to attend the Mid-Winter Thaw in Montreal this January 15 & 16.

Mary Ashcroft, on behalf of the Vermont Volunteer Lawyers’ Project invited their participation as volunteer lawyers with the project.

Vermont Bar Foundation‘s Carol Ode educated them about IOLTA accounts. She encouraged them to make a difference by supporting the Vermont Bar Foundation’s Honor Roll and choosing an Honor Roll institution for their IOLTA accounts. Honor Roll banks and credit unions pay generous interest rates on their IOLTA accounts and the funds generated are collected by the VBF. The VBF, through a competitive and noncompetitive grant process, awards over $1Million each year to organizations such as Vermont Legal Aid, Vermont Law Line, the South Royalton Legal Clinic at Vermont Law School, the Rutland Pilot Project, Have Justice-Will Travel, and more.

Please contact Carol Ode at with any questions and input.
